What is bleaching?
Beautiful white teeth simply make you more attractive!
Bleaching
Why do I have darker teeth? On the one hand, this is a genetic factor (like eye colour or skin tone), on the other hand, in the course of life, colouring substances from food are deposited in the tooth structure and the teeth become darker as a result. Also, the enamel decreases more and more, and the darker dentin core (tooth bone) becomes more and more visible.
Bleaching belongs in the professional hands of a dental practice, because only a dentist can diagnose and repair leaking fillings.

Course of treatment
Before any whitening, a comprehensive oral hygiene session is essential to remove tooth discolouration that is purely external. In addition, the oral hygienist will conduct an informative preliminary consultation with you.
What happens during bleaching? When the bleaching gel is applied, oxygen radicals are formed. These are able to break down colourants in the tooth and change them so that they no longer appear in colour. The teeth appear brighter.
Does bleaching harm the teeth? No, if the teeth are sufficiently supplied with fluoride and calcium (in the form of a paste) after bleaching.
Side effects: Teeth may be sensitive to cold and acid for 48 hours, this sensitivity usually passes after two days. During this time you should not drink coffee, black tea or red wine and you should not smoke.
The entire process of office bleaching (in the dental clinic) takes approx. one and a half to a maximum of two hours. Highly concentrated bleaching gels are used, which may only be used in the dental practice.
Bleaching should not be performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women, leaky fillings or extremely sensitive tooth necks.
