FAQ
At our Dental Clinic Vienna Döbling, dentists and dental technicians work together optimally. Due to the close coordination, we can not only ensure quality and precision, but also produce the dental prosthesis immediately. Depending on the complexity and requirements, our dental technology can produce your work on the same day!
CAD/CAM is a digital, i.e. computer-aided, method for the fabrication of dental restorations. CAD stands for "computer aided design" and means the computer-aided design or construction of dental prostheses. CAM stands for "computer aided manufacturing" and means computer-assisted production, i.e. the milling of dental prostheses. Thanks to our in-house dental laboratory, we can produce dental prostheses in this way with high quality, accuracy and speed, so that you have to wait less time.
During the course of treatment, it may be necessary to take an impression of your teeth so that a suitable dental prosthesis can be made in our in-house dental laboratory. This impression can be taken in two ways: conventionally with an impression tray filled with silicone compound, or digitally with a so-called intraoral scanner. We use the intraoral scanner whenever possible to make the treatment as comfortable as possible for you. With the digital method, not only is there no unpleasant gagging, you can even watch the three-dimensional model of your teeth being created during the scan!
